Wedding Shower with John T.'s family & friends

This afternoon, we had our second shower at First Baptist Church in Wartburg, with John T.'s family (Lorrie's side) & friends. Thanks to Lorrie, Eva, Barbara (Bob) & Kim for everything they did to make this shower perfect! The theme was tropical, since we are going to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. Everything was too cute! Enjoy the pictures!

One of our scrapbook pages John T.'s great aunt, Barbara made us

Some of my favorites...

Here are a few of my favorites from our engagement session last Sunday. Again, if you are interested in seeing all of them, they are all available @ http://www.vfdigitalphotography.com/.

First Wedding Shower!

On Sunday, July 13 (I know I'm behind!), John T. & I had our first wedding shower at Brittany May's mom's in Lenoir City. It was given by Brittany (my bridesmaid), Whittney James (my matron of honor), & Katie Smith (another bridesmaid & college roommate) brought the cake, mints, & flowers! It was so great to see everyone, especially Jenny, who was moving the next week to Belleville, IL, & Susan Rosenbaum, who I had not seen in forever! We are so blessed with great family & friends, and I can't wait to share our special day with each one of them! Here are a few pictures from the shower.

5 more weeks!

Wow! What a week...Wednesday, we had our final in Radiochemistry/Radiopharmacy, and I am so glad that it is over! Jessica & I stayed up until 4:00 Wednesday morning studying, woke up @ 6:30 and headed to the hospital in our capri sweatpants & flip flops....no shower, make-up, etc. LoL...Hopefully all the studying paid off. Now, we just have 1 test on Monday, and two more classes taught by the techs & 2 more tests, and we will be completely finished with all class work. I am now able to write thank you notes from my first bridal shower, do more wedding stuff, update my blog, and have a LIFE minus a ton of stress! It is very exciting! I am in my nursing rotation right now for the next two weeks, which is where I do stress tests with two nurses. Then, I have my cardiac rotation, which is where we take pictures of the stress test patients. I love both of these, and I am so glad that are my last two rotations. We got our invitations for our graduation on August 25 today, and I can't wait to fill them out! I get excited about the craziest things...lol..Have a great weekend everybody, enjoy the sweet summertime!

Nuc. Med. Class Picture Day!

On Tuesday, we took our Nuclear Medicine Technology class picture. We have been looking forward to this day since we started the program on August 27, 2007. The picture will hang outside the main nuc. med. classroom for many years to come. It was a pretty special day for us! Only seven weeks left until graduation! While I am looking so forward to going back home, I will miss everyone. We are all very close, and I am so blessed to have been able to get to know each one of you! Emily, Adam, and I have been together since we started college @ Belmont in 2004, and the rest of us met in August. I know we have only known each other for almost a year now, but they are like my family. We have been through the great times and the stressful times, and I know I could could count on any of them to be there for me at any time. I love ya'll so much!

4th of July Weekend

One of our favorite holidays is the 4th of July. Fireworks, family, and great food...it can't get any better! On Friday afternoon, we had a cook-out at John T.'s mom & dad's house, with his family & his hilarious neighbors Gary & Lola Murray. We ate hamburgers & hot dogs, and talked & laughed on the back porch while we watched the much needed rain. John T.'s granny bought us tons of fireworks, and since John T. had to leave for work @ 9:30, we shot them off a little before it was actually dark outside, but they were still so pretty & fun to watch. John T.'s youngest sister, Jayden, will be four in October, and she is still a little scared of the big booms, but she loved them, anyway! Enjoy the slideshow! On Saturday, John T. woke up around 2:00, after working nightshift, and we had no clue what to do for the afternoon. We finally decided to just lounge around by his parents' pool, and it was great! For the first time this summer, I finally put a bathing suit on and caught some real rays! It was so nice, and afterwards, we had a mini-photoshoot!
