Spicy Roasted Chicken Legs
I have always heard about Pioneer Woman from Kelly's Korner, but I had never tried one of her recipes. The Novemeber 2009 People: Country Edition featured an article about Pioneer Woman, and after reading the article, I just had to read her blog & find some recipes. My first one to try was Spicy Roasted Chicken Legs. They turned out really good & they were so easy to prepare. You can go here for the recipe, and if you're interested, she has tons more recipes to try!

FaLL 2009
I love all things FALL...pumpkins, mums, fall colors, cider, Halloween candy, crisp fall days, UT football, Colts football...I could go on & on...I thought I would share a little bit of the fall decor we have around our house.
Front porch: My aunt Sharon bought us this beautiful fall wreath, and I just love the colors with the mums & pumpkins. I love my little scarecrows, too!
My mom & dad just returned from a vacation driving up the east coast. They stopped in Pennsylvania on their way and bought us this CUTE pumpkin at an apple festival. I LOVE IT!!

Tuesday's List
Oh, how I LOVE beauty products! Jessica, over at Love From Texas, hosts Tuesday's List each week for everyone who is a habitual list maker like myself. This week's list topic... Beauty Products! Some of my favorites...
I just got this new formula from B&BW on Saturday, and I LOVE it so far! I have always been a huge fan of shower creams, and this has not disappointed! Warm Vanilla Sugar is my favorite scent from B&BW.
I have used this foundation in Neutral since I started wearing make-up in 7th grade. It definitely is long-wear, and I honestly can't use anything else.
Another Clinique favorite: The 3-step system, mild facial soap, clarifying lotion 2, and the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I have used this since 7th grade also, and I have tried different products here and there, but I always go back to this system. It just seems to work best for my skin.
I love this Sephora eye makeup remover for a lot of reasons, but mainly because it just takes one swipe across my eyelid & the eye shadow & mascara is gone! It is also very gentle & not at all oily.
Thanks to my college best friend, Jessica Riley, I discovered this amazing lotion lotion by Johnson's: Vanilla Oatmeal baby lotion. I can't wear strong smells while working in the hospital, and this gives the perfect combination of moisture & just a hint of a clean, warm scent.

1st Anniversary Trip to Indianapolis
Our first anniversary was October 4, and we decided to spend it in Indianapolis. We left Friday after work and made the 6 hour drive to Indy. On our way, we drove through Lexington & Louisville, one beautiful city, and one city I was fascinated with only because of Southern Belles: Louisville. ha! Once we made it to downtown Indy, we checked into our hotel, and relaxed for the rest of the evening. We slept in on Saturday and then headed to the Circle Centre Mall, which BTW, was a 3-story mall connected to our hotel via skywalk. YeS! :o) We shopped and then made our way to the NCAA Hall of Champions, & then my favorite part...we had lunch @ Buffalo Wild Wings! I LoVe that place...I could literally drink the Sweet Honey BBQ sauce. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel to catch up on some college football, (UKvs.AL/LSUvs.GA) and then we headed back to the mall for more shopping & Auntie Anne pretzels! Tennessee played Auburn that night, so we had to stay in & watch...and cry... :o( It definitely was not a good game. On a happier note, what we were looking forward to all weekend came on Sunday: our 1st anniversary & the Colts/Seahawks game! After my breakfast of a double chocolate brownie & vanilla bean frappuccino from the Starbucks in our hotel, we headed down the street to Lucas Oil Stadium. It was so cool to be able to experience a Colts home game. Lucas Oil Stadium is so incredibly nice & has such an amazing atmosphere. The Colts came away with a WIN (34-17) over Seattle, and we had an incredible supper @ RAM downtown after the game with all kinds of Colts fans. I have never seen so many 18 jerseys in all my life! We headed back to Tennessee on Monday morning, but not after we tasted the top layer of our wedding cake on Sunday night. The cake itself was actually pretty good, but the icing...not so much! Our 1st anniversary trip is definitely one we will never forget!
Jayden turns 5!
Last Monday, October 12, Jayden celebrated her 5th birthday at the BoUnCe House off of Clinton Hwy. She loved it so much last year for her 4th b-day party, that she decided she wanted it to to be there again. The theme was Hannah Montana, so we jammed to all kinds of Miley Cyrus as we slid & bounced. :o)
8th Grade Night: CMS vs. Harriman
Yes, I am finally catching up...On Thursday, October 8, the middle school played their final football game of the season against Harriman. They lost 24-0, which yes, means they lost every game. :o( Kinda reminds me of my high school football cheerleading experience 2001-2003.
