Happy Birthday, Mom!!

Tonight, we celebrated my mom's 51st birthday with steak, baked potato, salad, & best of all, CAKE! I got her cake from MagPies in Knoxville, and man, it was so good! I am a cupcake/cake/bakery enthusiast, and I was very impressed with this cake. (Thanks for the suggestion, Julia!) The bakery is located near downtown Knoxville, and it is so cute. I hope you enjoyed it mom! I love you so much!!! HaPpY bIrThDaY!!

Rittenhouse/Emory River 5K & Half-Marathon

For the 4th year in a row, my dad ran in the half-marathon the Rittenhouse family organizes each year in Harriman. I am so proud of him! He did great!

Orange & White Game

I went with my good friend Donna Isham & her brother to the annual Orange & White game today. This was my first time going, and it was really fun! It made me look forward to the fall! Go VOLS!!

Upside Down Pizza

I found this recipe on a little calendar we got in the mail months ago. It is from the Gooseberry Cookbooks, which I LOVE!

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground beef

1 onion, chopped

4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained (I left these out because I don't like mushrooms)

1-1/4 oz. pkg. spaghetti sauce mix

2 8oz. cans tomato sauce

1 c. sour cream

2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

8-oz. tube refrigerated crescent rolls

Brown beef, onion and mushrooms in a skillet, drain well. Stir in sauce mix and tomato sauce; pour into an ungreased 13"x9" baking pan. Spread sour cream over top. Sprinkle with cheese. Roll out crescent dough; pinch seams closed. Stretch dough to fit over top of pan, touching all edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand several minutes before serving. Serves 6.

Easter 2010

We had a fabulous Easter weekend! We went to church Sunday morning, had lunch at John T.'s granny's, went 4-wheeling all over MoCo, & had an egg hunt! I am so thankful for my risen Savior & the life He has chosen for me to live. We are so incredibly blessed!

Happy Birthday, Lorrie!

Today is my MIL's 44th birthday! We had dinner at Wasabi, then headed back to their house for presents & Minnie's strawberry dessert...my favorite, even though I haven't had it since her b-day last year! I hope you had a fabulous day!
