1st Anniversary Trip to Indianapolis

Our first anniversary was October 4, and we decided to spend it in Indianapolis. We left Friday after work and made the 6 hour drive to Indy. On our way, we drove through Lexington & Louisville, one beautiful city, and one city I was fascinated with only because of Southern Belles: Louisville. ha! Once we made it to downtown Indy, we checked into our hotel, and relaxed for the rest of the evening. We slept in on Saturday and then headed to the Circle Centre Mall, which BTW, was a 3-story mall connected to our hotel via skywalk. YeS! :o) We shopped and then made our way to the NCAA Hall of Champions, & then my favorite part...we had lunch @ Buffalo Wild Wings! I LoVe that place...I could literally drink the Sweet Honey BBQ sauce. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel to catch up on some college football, (UKvs.AL/LSUvs.GA) and then we headed back to the mall for more shopping & Auntie Anne pretzels! Tennessee played Auburn that night, so we had to stay in & watch...and cry... :o( It definitely was not a good game. On a happier note, what we were looking forward to all weekend came on Sunday: our 1st anniversary & the Colts/Seahawks game! After my breakfast of a double chocolate brownie & vanilla bean frappuccino from the Starbucks in our hotel, we headed down the street to Lucas Oil Stadium. It was so cool to be able to experience a Colts home game. Lucas Oil Stadium is so incredibly nice & has such an amazing atmosphere. The Colts came away with a WIN (34-17) over Seattle, and we had an incredible supper @ RAM downtown after the game with all kinds of Colts fans. I have never seen so many 18 jerseys in all my life! We headed back to Tennessee on Monday morning, but not after we tasted the top layer of our wedding cake on Sunday night. The cake itself was actually pretty good, but the icing...not so much! Our 1st anniversary trip is definitely one we will never forget!
Leaving Morgan Co., I-75 bound!
