Fun Day

{the blog is slowly, but surely being updated from the spring/summer!}

John T. & I were both off from work today, so we decided to head to Knoxville and do some shopping.

We have completely redone our master bathroom, and I still needed to pick up some towels and a new rug. I am LOVING the Target app right now, and I was super excited to find that everything I needed was on sale this week! This rug was my favorite purchase all day! Love it!

 We ate lunch at Chuy's. It opened last Wednesday, so this was our first time to go. YUM!! It was delicious. I got the fajitas & John T. got the biggest burrito I have every seen! 

We also went to the new Publix that opened last week as well. (So many new things coming to Knoxville!) All of their workers went above and beyond to help us & the rest of their customers. It was such a fun, welcoming store!

Tomorrow, we have a staff meeting at work, so I made these yummy goodies to take.

Now it's Big Brother time (love that it comes on 3 times a week!) & gearing up to work the next 4 days!

Our Friday

This past Friday was the only day either of us would have the full day off together for a while, so we decided to make it a date day!

We slept in and then headed to Knoxville for lunch at Dead End BBQ. 

This was our first time to eat here, and its was really good. John T. got ribs, and I got a combo of pork & chicken. They served a choice of sweet or jalapeño cornbread or Texas toast, & we both tried the sweet. It was so good!They had lots of high school & UT sports memorabilia, & it was a pretty cool atmosphere. 

After lunch, we headed to mall for a little shopping, then to Target (they were having a huge sale on bulk items, and I could have went crazy! love Target!), then finally to the movies to see The Vow. It was a sweet movie, but I actually didn't like it as much as other Nicholas Sparks movies. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, but it wasn't as emotional for me as others, like The Notebook, Dear John & especially The Last Song.

The best part of the day was when John T. suggested we stop by the Cup before heading home! :o) He got two Tuxedo cupcakes, & I tried the Island Dream...it was scrumptious!! 

We had a wonderful, great, amazing day!!

When we got home, we went to watch Jayden play in one of her last basketball games of the season.

3 Year Anniversary

Last Tuesday (10/4/11), we celebrated our 3 year anniversary! It is seriously amazing how fast these last 3 years have flown by.

 

That morning, I fixed us some breakfast. I tried Pioneer Woman's egg-in-the-holes for the first time {recipe, coming soon}, and John T. loved them! We had those, cinnamon rolls & bacon. It was yummy!

After breakfast, we got ready & headed to Turkey Creek for some shopping & to see Courageous {a must see}.

After the movies, we went to dinner at Altruda's. This was a first for both of us, and we really liked it. They have delicious salad & garlic bread.

After dinner, we ended our date night at Menchie's. We have developed a strong love for frozen yogurt this year! :o) 

10/4/11 also marks the day that we have been together for 9 years & 7 months! I am so blessed & thankful to be married to John T. I love him more & more every single day!

I thought it would be fun to add a few pictures from our wedding day. It was such a perfect day!
